Penwortham fraud probe as body found months after death

A man was arrested after police found the body of his father in his house about five months after he died.
Guy Blackburn, 54, was discovered in the front room of his home in Penwortham, Preston, after officers were called to the property in March.
His son Christopher, who also lived in the house, was arrested on suspicion of fraud offences and released on bail.
Lancashire Police said Mr Blackburn's death was not being treated as suspicious. Inquiries are ongoing.
Neighbours of the pair, who lived at Alderfield, had alerted police over concerns for Mr Blackburn's welfare.
Benefits probe Officers attended the terraced property accompanied by Christopher Blackburn and found the body.
The 28-year-old was arrested two days later under the 2006 Fraud Act on suspicion of obtaining services dishonestly.
It is understood the investigation is examining whether his father was in receipt of any benefits.
Christopher Blackburn has been released on bail pending further inquiries until 15 July.
